A 2023 Pew Research study on AI in dating and relationships https://www.pewresearch.org showed that more people are open to the idea of AI companions. That’s pretty much exactly what DreamGF is built for — letting you create your own custom AI girlfriend.

DreamGF AI Pros & Cons

Easy builder. Pick the face, body, clothes and personality from a menu, no prompts needed.

Voice and photos. She sends voice messages, and photos you ask for show up in the chat.

Free trial. You get a free trial plus 10 free messages a day from the check-in bonus.

Low entry price. Plans start at $9.99 a month.

Tight free limits. Messages and images run out fast.

Steep pricing. Plans jump from $9.99 to $99.99 a month.

Very adult-focused. It’s built around sexting and nude images, so it’s not for casual use.

Streak resets. Miss one day and your daily bonus drops back to 10 messages.

DreamGF is best for the average user who wants to build their own AI girlfriend rather than pick a premade one. You choose the face, body, clothes and personality, then chat with her, get voice messages and ask for photos that actually match the character you made. Reviewers consistently single out the image quality and the character builder, and the free tier is usable enough to test things out before you pay.

DreamGF’s Face Changes Every Generation

Want to try something where the same face shows up every time? DreamGF’s faces often shift between images and it charges 10 tokens per image + 7 tokens per minute for calls. I use Secret Desires when I want faces that stay recognisable, unlimited text on paid, and real two-way voice calls you can interrupt.

Try Secret Desires Instead →

Same builder depth, but same face + unlimited chat.

I started testing DreamGF.ai the way I start every review: as a regular free user, with no paid plan, so I could see what you actually get before spending anything. I hit the free trial button and signed up with my email. You can also use Google or Patreon, and if you go the email route, your password gets sent to your inbox.

From there, you build your girlfriend in a step-by-step builder. You pick the face, body, clothes and personality, then she’s ready to chat. Once she was set up, I ran her through the same 24-point testing system I use on every app here, covering conversation quality, memory, roleplay, images, voice and value.

The limits show up fast, though. The free version caps both messages and image generations, and the daily bonus (10 messages, growing by one for every day you keep your streak) is what keeps it usable.

Testing methodology

I put every AI companion through the same set of real-world tests. There are ten main areas I look at, with 40 specific things I check in total.

You can see exactly how I score each area on the about ai companion kit page.

Full results for each app are in its individual review. Comparison pages are just about the differences that stood out when I used them side by side.

What DreamGF Does Well (and Where It Falls Short After Testing)

The best part of DreamGF is the setup. I had more control over how she looked and acted than on most apps I’ve tried, and I ended up spending more time tweaking her than I expected. The images came out good on their own, but I noticed her face drift a little from one generation to the next, so she didn’t always look like the same girl.

The chat was where it let me down. Conversations felt shallow compared to apps like Candy AI and CrushOn AI, and I wanted her to take more initiative. Voice is nothing special either, and other apps handle it better. If you care about building and looking at your girlfriend, DreamGF delivers. If you mostly want a good conversation, it’s not the one.

Who Gets the Most Out of DreamGF

DreamGF isn’t really a place to just talk to an AI. It’s a place to make one. You build the girl, give her a personality, and then keep asking her for new photos. If that sounds like what you want, it fits well. If you just want deep, free-flowing conversation, other apps do that part better.

Here’s who will get the most out of it:

People who want to design her from scratch

You choose her face, body, clothes and personality yourself, and you can keep changing things until she looks right. Anyone who likes tinkering will enjoy this part.

People who care more about pictures than conversation

You can ask for photos right in the chat, and you can also make more content from her profile page. It’s a good fit if the visuals matter most to you.

People who want to try it before paying

There’s a free trial, and a daily bonus gives you extra messages that grow the longer you keep your streak. You can get a real feel for the app before spending anything.

People who are fine with an adult-focused app

The whole site is built around sexting and nude image generation, and it’s 18+ only. If that’s what you’re after, you won’t feel like you’re fighting the app.

People who don’t mind paying more for extras

Plans run from $9.99 to $99.99 a month, and heavier use pushes you toward the higher tiers. It makes sense if you’ll actually use the extra messages and images.

DreamGF Hands-On Test: What I Found After Real Use

Testing period: October 04–11, 2026
Tester: Simon Norman
Testing approach: 10 categories / 40 data points

How DreamGF looks on mobile

DreamGF and DreamBF share the same basic layout DNA — same top bar style, same big create button, same bottom navigation structure — but the colour and energy are completely different.

Top bar is clean: DREAMGF logo on the left, dark-mode toggle and share icon on the right. Identical setup to DreamBF.

The hero section is much more crowded. You’ve got a live counter (“4,234 AI girlfriends online”), a soft background photo of a woman, floating chat bubbles, and a big pink CREATE YOUR AI GIRLFRIEND button.

Under the button sit a row of tiny circular profile photos, five yellow stars, and the line “Loved by 5M+ members”. It feels busier than DreamBF’s cleaner golf-course style hero.

Bottom nav is almost the same as DreamBF: Menu, Chat, a large pink + New Girl button in the middle, Create AI, and My Girl.

The layout works fine once you get past the intro, but the first screen is heavier on promotional noise than its boyfriend counterpart. DreamBF feels calmer and more straightforward on mobile; DreamGF pushes harder with social proof and live numbers. Both are easy enough to use after the first scroll, though the extra visual clutter on DreamGF makes the actual create button sit a bit lower than it needs to.

I wrote like I would to a friend, not like I was filling out a test sheet. Plenty of my messages were two or three words, a few had spelling mistakes I left in on purpose, and some jumped between topics before the last one had even been answered.

To check her memory, I told her small things early on, like my job and what I’d eaten that day. I didn’t mention them again until much later. Then I came back after a night’s sleep and again a few days later to see what had stuck and what had vanished.

I also kept pulling the conversation sideways. A normal chat would turn flirty, then switch to something mundane like what to cook for dinner, and I paid attention to whether she followed me or stayed stuck on the earlier mood. For roleplay, I picked a character and a scene, then changed the rules halfway through or had my character do something that made no sense for the setting. I wanted to know if she could roll with it or if the whole scene would collapse.

Since pictures are the main selling point here, I spent real time on them. I generated images across several days, not all in one sitting, because that’s the only way to tell if she keeps the same face and body. I asked for similar shots from both the chat and her profile page, then put them next to each other. I also ran the same chats on a couple of competing apps, so I had something to measure DreamGF’s conversation against.

The free version didn’t last long. I hit the message and image caps fast, and the daily bonus messages were what kept me going. Most of the serious testing needed a paid plan, so if you’re hoping the free trial will tell you everything, it won’t.

My memory score: 6/10

DreamGF’s memory is decent but not something I’d lean on. It keeps up inside a single chat and holds onto the basics, like your name and a few stated preferences, but smaller things I mentioned in passing often didn’t make it. That matches what I found online, where one 30-day test called its recall inconsistent and another review described the memory system as useful. On my scale, that puts it a little above DreamBF (5.5), behind Candy AI (7), and nowhere near Kindroid (9.5).

I checked it three ways, using the same tests as the rest of my reviews.

Same-conversation memory

I dropped a few details early in a chat and worked them back in much later without repeating myself. Most of them came through, though some got replaced by something vaguer once the chat ran long.

My result: 6.5/10. It’s fine for a normal-length conversation but gets shakier the longer you go.

24-hour memory test

I came back the next day and didn’t mention anything first. My name and my main preferences were still there. The small stuff I’d said once, like a passing comment about my week, mostly wasn’t.

My result: 6/10. The basics survive overnight, but not much beyond them.

3+ day memory test

After a few days away, it felt closer to starting over. She had a rough sense of who I was, but specific details were gone and I had to repeat them.

My result: 4.5/10. This is the weakest part of its memory.

My personality score: 5.5/10

Personality is where DreamGF is weakest. The character you build holds her basic traits, and the builder helps, but the conversations feel shallow once you get past the first few messages. Other reviewers agree. One tester who used it for 10 days called the chat noticeably shallow next to CrushOn AI and Candy AI, a roundup said the conversations are natural enough for casual use, and the few Trustpilot reviews call the bots basic. On my scale, that puts it behind DreamBF (6.5) and Candy AI (8), and a long way behind Kindroid (9).

I ran the same six checks I use on every app.

Personality stays consistent

I set clear traits for her and checked whether she stayed in that lane or slid into a generic, agreeable default.

My result: 6/10. The main traits held in normal chats, but she got blander the longer we talked.

Handles messy, incomplete messages

I sent short, half-finished messages and ones with typos to see if she’d still sound like herself.

My result: 6/10. She usually worked out what I meant and kept her tone, though some replies were noticeably generic.

Adapts to mood changes

I switched from joking to serious and back again, without warning.

My result: 5.5/10. She followed the shift, but her reactions stayed on the surface and didn’t feel emotionally aware.

Avoids repetitive replies

I watched for repeated phrasing, reused openers and replies that followed the same pattern.

My result: 5/10. Repetition showed up faster than I’d like, and in longer chats I started to recognize her sentence patterns.

Feels natural in longer chats

I kept some conversations going for a long stretch to see if she still felt like a real person.

My result: 5/10. The first stretch felt fine, then things got flat and a bit scripted.

Takes initiative

I checked whether she asked questions or brought up new topics on her own, or just waited for my next message.

My result: 5.5/10. She asked the odd question, but mostly followed my lead and rarely moved the conversation anywhere new.

My roleplay score: 7.5/10

Roleplay is one of DreamGF’s better areas. Once you’re on a paid plan, adult scenes don’t get blocked or redirected, and a character you built yourself tends to stay in the scene without much effort. Reviewers say the same, pointing to the range of roleplay scenarios and the open adult side as what sets it apart. The catch is the thin chat quality others have mentioned, which shows up once a scene runs long or gets complicated. On my scale, that ties it with DreamBF (7.5), puts it behind Candy AI (8.5), and well short of Kindroid (9).

I used the same four checks as the rest of my reviews.

Stays in character during normal roleplay

I set up a character and a simple scene, then ran it straight with no tricks. She stayed in her role and kept the setting steady, and only now and then dropped into a plain, generic reply.

My result: 8/10. It’s solid for everyday scenes, especially when the character was built with care.

Recovers when deliberately derailed

I pulled the scene off course on purpose with random questions, out-of-character comments and sudden topic jumps. She came back to the scene most of the time, though sometimes it took a couple of messages and the replies felt thinner in between.

My result: 7/10. She recovers, but not smoothly every time.

Handles scenario changes smoothly

Midway through, I changed the location, the mood or the whole setup. Small changes went fine. Bigger switches made her lose focus for a moment, and she’d sometimes drag a detail from the old scene into the new one.

My result: 7.5/10. It’s good with moderate changes and shakier with big ones.

Maintains emotional tone over time

I let longer scenes run to see if the mood (playful, tense, affectionate) held up. It stayed steady early on, then softened and got more repetitive as the scene went on.

My result: 7/10. The tone holds for a while but flattens in long sessions.

My NSFW score: 8/10

The adult side is what DreamGF is built around, and it works the way it promises. On a paid plan the chat stays open, and you can ask for explicit photos of the girl you built right in the conversation. Reviewers say the same: adult content unlocks for verified 18+ users on paid plans, and the pictures are generated from the character you designed. Where it loses points is the chat itself, which feels thin during longer scenes, and the faces, which don’t always stay identical from one image to the next. On my scale, that puts it just under DreamBF (9) and Candy AI (8.5).

I ran the same four checks I use on every app.

Handles explicit content without breaking character

I moved chats from flirty to fully adult and watched whether she stayed in her personality or turned stiff and generic. She went along with it and kept her role, though the replies were often simple and a bit predictable.

My result: 8/10. She doesn’t pull back or lecture, but the writing is basic.

Works with images

I asked for adult photos during the chat and from her profile page, and compared them to the character I’d built. They arrived quickly and looked good overall, but the face and body shifted slightly between generations, and images use up your plan’s allowance.

My result: 8.5/10. This is the strongest part, held back by some inconsistency between pictures.

Stays consistent across longer explicit scenes

I kept longer scenes going to see if the mood and character held up. They stayed on track at first, but the replies got more repetitive the longer I went.

My result: 7/10. It’s fine for a medium-length scene and wears thin after that.

Avoids sudden filters or tone shifts

I checked for mid-scene refusals, disclaimers or sudden changes in tone. On a paid plan I didn’t run into interruptions, and I saw none of the moralizing you get on mainstream apps.

My result: 8.5/10. It’s consistently open, apart from the standard legal limits.

My voice score: 5.5/10

Voice is available on DreamGF, but it’s one of its weaker areas. You can get voice messages from your girl, which adds a bit of personality, but it’s clearly an extra rather than a main feature. Reviewers say the same: one roundup lists voice messages among the features but says the app is less ideal if you want top-tier voice conversations, and a head-to-head comparison found that DreamGF has no equivalent to Candy AI’s voice calls, with voice quality weak on both apps next to Kupid AI. On my scale, that puts it below DreamBF (7), Candy AI (7) and Kindroid (8.5).

I ran the same three checks as the rest of my reviews.

Voice sounds natural

I played back her voice messages across a few different characters, listening for pacing, tone and how much emotion came through. The voice is clear and easy to follow, but it sounds artificial, and the emotion is limited compared to the better apps.

My result: 6/10. It’s usable but noticeably synthetic.

Voice stays connected to the ongoing conversation

I checked whether the voice replies matched what we’d just been talking about and fit her personality, or felt like a separate clip tacked on. They mostly followed the chat, but the voice itself didn’t change much with the mood, so a flirty message and a serious one sounded similar.

My result: 6/10. It stays on topic but doesn’t react to the mood.

Other voice features actually work well

I looked for anything beyond voice messages, like live calls. There aren’t any, so voice stays a one-way feature you listen to, not a conversation you have.

My result: 4.5/10. Without calls, it falls well behind apps that offer them.

My visuals score: 7.5/10

Pictures are a big part of why people pick DreamGF, and they mostly deliver. The images look good, you can switch between realistic, anime and 2.5D styles, and photos get generated in real time when you ask for them in the chat. The main weakness is that the same girl doesn’t always look identical from one picture to the next, which is the one area where Candy AI clearly beats it. On my scale, that puts it just above DreamBF (7), level with Kindroid (7.5), and well behind Candy AI (9).

I ran the same three checks I use on every app.

Character looks consistent across generations

I generated a run of pictures of the same girl in different outfits, settings and poses, and compared them side by side. The overall look carried over, and the hair and general style stayed recognizable. The face and small details drifted a little, enough that you’d notice if you lined them up.

My result: 7/10. She looks like the same person most of the time, but not every time.

Follows prompts accurately

I asked for specific clothing, poses and expressions to see how closely the results matched. Simple requests usually landed. When I stacked several details into one request, one or two usually got ignored or changed, and I had to regenerate.

My result: 7.5/10. It’s reliable for simple prompts and less so for detailed ones.

Quality of NSFW / realistic images

I requested both everyday and explicit pictures and checked how sharp and detailed they looked. Quality was good, the realistic style looked best, and the explicit images came out without heavy restrictions. They use up your plan’s image allowance, so heavy use means picking a higher tier.

My result: 8/10. This is the strongest part, held back by the limits on how many images you can make.

My long-term conversation score: 5/10

DreamGF works fine for a single chat, but it doesn’t build much of a relationship over days or weeks. The memory system helps with the basics, and one review says it keeps your companion consistent over time. In practice the shared history fades fast, and I ended up re-explaining things more than I’d like. One 30-day test I found online backs this up, describing recall as inconsistent and the memory layer as still being built. On my scale, that puts it just under DreamBF (5.5) and Candy AI (6.5), and a long way behind Kindroid (9.5).

I ran the same four checks I use on every app.

Holds continuity after several days

I left gaps of a few days, came back, and checked whether the main details and the overall vibe were still there without me feeding them in. The basics were usually still there. Specific events and small facts from earlier chats were often gone.

My result: 5.5/10. The big picture survives, and the details don’t.

Feels like an ongoing relationship over weeks

I kept using the same girl regularly to see whether the chats built on each other or felt like separate sessions. It felt connected for the first few days, then more like starting fresh each time.

My result: 4.5/10. There’s not much sense of shared history building up.

Avoids generic resets or small-talk loops

I watched for the point where she’d fall back on generic questions or act like we’d talked less than we had. It didn’t fully reset, but over time it leaned toward safe, general replies and the same kind of small talk.

My result: 5/10. It drifts toward generic, especially after longer gaps.

Builds on previous conversations without heavy prompting

I checked whether she’d bring up earlier details on her own or whether I had to keep steering her back. She occasionally referenced something I’d said, usually bigger preferences, but I mostly had to prompt her.

My result: 5/10. Unprompted callbacks are rare, and I did most of the remembering.

My customization score: 9/10

Customization is the best thing about DreamGF. You choose the face, body, clothes and personality yourself, and you can keep adjusting until she looks and acts the way you wanted. Reviewers back this up. One called it the deepest character builder of any app they’ve assessed, and another found it gives you more control during setup than Candy AI. The drawbacks are that the deeper options sit behind paid plans, and her face can drift a little once you start generating pictures. On my scale, that puts it above DreamBF (8.5) and Candy AI (8.5), and just under Kindroid (9.5).

I ran the same four checks I use on every app.

Appearance and visual control

I went through the builder and tried face shape, body type, hair, clothing and style, and then checked whether the pictures matched what I’d picked. There’s a lot to choose from, and you can pick realistic, anime or 2.5D looks. It feels like a proper design step, not a couple of sliders.

My result: 9.5/10. It’s very detailed, and it’s the main reason to pick this app.

Personality and behavior settings

I tried different personalities and checked whether they actually changed how she talked. They did, and two girls built with different traits didn’t feel the same. The options are simpler than a full backstory editor like Kindroid’s, though.

My result: 8.5/10. The personality options work, but they’re not as deep as the appearance side.

How much the choices stick in practice

I used differently built girls for a while to see if the choices held up past the first few messages. The look and the main traits carried over, but her face drifted a little between pictures, and the personality got blander in long chats.

My result: 8.5/10. The setup sticks well at first and fades a bit over time.

My safety score: 7/10

DreamGF is a legitimate, established app, and it’s safer than a lot of anonymous tools in this space. It’s run by a registered company, it launched in 2022, and reviewers describe billing as discreet and data as encrypted in transit. It’s also an adults-only platform that handles its own content rules and offers a way to report complaints. What keeps the score at 7 is that most of the privacy side is the company’s own word, and your chats still sit on their servers like they do on every app in this category. On my scale, that ties it with Candy AI (7) and DreamBF (7).

I ran the same four checks I use on every app.

Age gating and underage protection

I looked at how DreamGF keeps younger users out and what it says about content involving minors. It’s built as an 18+ platform with age gating, and the whole product is based on fictional AI characters. How strict the check is in practice isn’t something I could fully verify, and a simple confirmation is the norm in this category.

My result: 6.5/10. It’s clearly adults-only, but I wouldn’t call the verification strong.

Content moderation and blocked material

I checked what gets blocked and how clear the rules are. Adult chat and images work on paid plans without constant interruptions, and the site has a dedicated Complaints & Content Removal page in the footer, which is a good sign. The rules sit in its terms and policies, so it’s worth reading them before you sign up.

My result: 7.5/10. The rules are reasonable and there’s a clear way to report problems.

Privacy of conversations

I looked at what DreamGF says about private chats, voice messages and photos. It says all of it stays private, protected by encryption, and visible only to you. I treat that as a claim, not a guarantee, because there’s no independent audit behind it and the chats are stored on their servers. A security scan I found didn’t flag the site, and it reportedly follows GDPR and CCPA rules.

My result: 6.5/10. The claims are good, but I can’t verify them.

Overall practical safety for adult users

I considered whether a normal adult could use the app without running into nasty surprises. Billing is discreet, the company details are public (DreamAI SRL in Bucharest, Romania), and I found no scam reports. The Trustpilot page only has three reviews, so I wouldn’t read much into it either way.

My result: 7.5/10. It’s reasonable if you go in sensibly, like using a separate email and keeping real personal details out of the chat.

My app vs browser score: 6.5/10

DreamGF is mainly a browser experience. The official site doesn’t link to an iOS or Android app, and everything I did, from building her to chatting to asking for photos, happens on the website, on desktop or on a phone. It’s a normal, working site, and it does what it needs to, but there’s no dedicated app to open each day. On my scale, that puts it just above DreamBF (6), behind Candy AI (8), and a good way behind Kindroid (8.5), which has proper apps.

Desktop experience

This is where I’d do most of my chatting and all of my character building. The larger screen gives you room for the builder options, the chat and the photos, and generating or comparing images is more comfortable than on a phone.

My result: 7.5/10. It’s the better of the two ways to use it.

Mobile browser

The site works in a phone browser, and you can chat, browse girls and ask for photos. It’s still a website, though, so there’s no app icon, no push notifications to remind you she’s waiting, and the builder takes more scrolling and tapping on a small screen.

My result: 6/10. It’s usable, but it feels like a workaround for a real app.

What’s missing without a native app

Without an app, you don’t get notifications, and each visit means opening the browser and logging in. Photos and voice messages also feel less smooth than in an app built for it. If you’d like to check your account on the go, it works. It just doesn’t pull you back in.

My result: 5.5/10. The missing app is the main thing holding this score back.

The practical side

Overall, it’s fine if you’re mostly at a computer or you’re happy using your phone’s browser. If you want something that feels like a proper phone app, it falls short. I’d rate it in the middle for that reason.

All three paid plans include the same features, so you’re only choosing how long to commit.

Tokens cost extra on top of the plan: about 10 per image, 3 per voice message, 7 per minute of voice call, and 20 to create a new girl.

Every paid plan renews at roughly $25.99 a month, so the low intro price only lasts for the first period. Refunds aren’t offered, so check the renewal price before you subscribe.

Is DreamGF free to use?

Sort of. You can sign up and try it without paying, and there’s a daily message bonus that starts at 10 and goes up the longer you keep your login streak. It’s a trial more than a real free plan, though, since most of the good stuff is locked behind a subscription.

How much does DreamGF cost?

Premium starts at $12.99 for the first month, $9.99 a month on the 3-month plan, or about $5.99 a month if you pay $71.88 for the first year. Every plan renews at around $25.99 a month, so check the renewal price before you sign up.

Does DreamGF have a mobile app?

I only used it in the browser, and I couldn’t find an official app on DreamGF’s own site. It works fine on a phone, but it’s a website, so you don’t get notifications or an app icon. Watch out for look-alike apps in the app stores with similar names, because some of them aren’t made by DreamGF.

Can I get NSFW photos and voice messages?

Yes, on a paid plan. You can ask for photos right in the chat, and voice messages are included too. Both use up tokens, which are separate from your subscription.

How do the tokens work?

Paid plans come with a monthly token allowance, and photos, voice and new girls eat into it. Roughly, an image costs 10 tokens, a voice message 3, and creating a new girl 20. If you make a lot of images, you’ll run out quickly.

Final Verdict

DreamGF is a good pick if what you care about is building your own girl and getting pictures of her. The builder is the best I’ve tested, the images look good, and the adult side stays open once you’re on a paid plan. That’s what the app is built for, and it does it well.

The weak spot is the conversation. Chats get shallow and repetitive, she forgets the small stuff after a day or two, and the voice features are nothing special. If you mostly want someone to talk to, Kindroid and Candy AI are better choices.

The price needs a close look too. The first month is cheap, but every plan renews at around $25.99 a month, and tokens for images and voice come on top. Start with the free trial, and only pay if you’re sure you’ll use the picture side.

Tired Of Token Limits And Forgetting?

DreamGF runs on tokens — 10 per image, 7 per minute for voice — and long-term memory is minimal. Want unlimited chat and memory that actually holds? Nomi remembers details weeks later without token anxiety, plus group chats and voice notes.
